Abstract
This edition of Mirada Antropológica is dedicated to the carnival held in the city of Puebla. It features four research studies conducted by the BUAP Faculty of Social Anthropology; three of them focus on the use and function of music in the carnival, using interviews and fieldwork to showcase the carnivals in all their neighborhood diversity. Another study, with an ethnographic approach, examines the carnival in one of the most iconic neighborhoods of the city of Puebla: Xonaca.
