Abstract
This article is dedicated to the reflection of the worldview of the Ngigua culture of the north, where three dances that still resist socio-cultural, economic, political, and religious changes will be exposed: Santiagones, Toriteros and Tocotinas, as traditional practices of the religiosity and rituality of this ethnic group, which give account of their identity and worldview. The dances are practiced in the town of San Marcos Tlacoyalco located in the municipality of Tlacotepec de Benito Juárez, Puebla, which of the Ngigua region is the one with the largest population speaking this language. These ritual dances are present during the celebrations of the patron festivities of the community and neighboring localities, as well as in the wax carving of the saints in the church, the reception of relics and processions.
